US, British strike ISIL-held Mosul military airport ready logistics
US and British forces have conducted two strikes on ISIL-controlled Mosul military airbase ready logistics.
The strikes hit ISIL fighters and seized an ammunition depot, the Pentagon said in a statement.
The coalition says it is continuing to support Iraqi forces fighting ISIL.
The Mosul airport was ISIL’s de facto headquarters and the main supply hub for the group in Iraq and Syria.
The United States has been targeting ISIL in Iraq for the past three months and has carried out more than 30,000 airstrikes.
The U.S.-led coalition says there have been more than 3,600 civilians killed in airstrikes in Iraq.
