Fortune 500 companies employ some 7.5 million full-time workers and employ some 4.5 billion part-time employees in the United States.

They employ 1.3 million people in manufacturing and 1.2 million people working in supply chains.

Their operations generate some $3.2 trillion in revenue per year.

In 2018, the number of employees hired in the U.S. by the Fortune 500 was 2.2 billion, an increase of 6.1 percent from the previous year.

The top 10 companies in the Fortune list accounted for a whopping 82.2 percent of the total jobs created in the country last year.
